An Idaho-based bank is heading to the Tri-Cities market this summer.

Bankcda, a subsidiary of Coeur d’Alene Bancorp, is preparing to open its first Tri-Cities community bank. The company has two other Washington locations, in Spokane and Spokane Valley, and four Idaho locations.

The bank is focused on serving small- and medium-sized commercial customers, and it will provide full services in the Tri-Cities, including savings and checking products, loans, commercial banking services and more.

A business license tied to the address of 1950 Keene Road, F100, in Richland is pending, and the bank plans to open more branches at a later date.

Coeur d’Alene Bancorp recently announced the appointment of Shelly Romine as the market president for the Tri-Cities. She has more than 30 years of experience in financial services, with 25 of those years in community banking, holding roles such as chief credit officer, loan officer and portfolio manager.

She’s also spent time serving the community, with more than 20 years as a Rotarian and service on nonprofit boards such as United Way and Komen for the Cure.

“I’m honored to help launch bankcda in Tri-Cities in summer 2025. Community banks are the backbone of local economies, and I’m excited to partner with businesses and nonprofits to help our region grow and thrive,” Romine said in a statement.

The bank also announced on its Facebook page on June 11 that it was hiring for a universal banker at the Richland branch. The opening is listed on the bank’s career page on its website.
