Dallas Road road project at the intersection with Trowbridge Boulevard and Ava Way in Richland. Planned improvements include roundabouts, shoulder work and more to improve traffic capacity and safety.
Courtesy city of RichlandAfter a pause during the winter months, construction on the Dallas Road roundabouts is picking back up starting March 16.
Starting that day, Trowbridge Boulevard will be closed at the intersection of Dallas Road. The closure is expected to remain in place for about three weeks while workers finish the final pavement lift on the southeast corner of the intersection and install the final concrete median islands.
During the closure, east- and westbound traffic on Trowbridge Boulevard will be detoured via Gateway Avenue. Drivers are advised to follow posted road work and detour signs, allow extra travel time and use caution when traveling through the area.
Once complete, the Dallas Road roundabouts will improve traffic efficiency, reduce congestion and enhance safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, according to a release from the city of Richland.
