Generational Care has hired a new executive director.
Matt Kincaid has been named the nonprofit’s new executive director. Kincaid is currently the vice president and head of coaching at The Referent Group, which provides leadership development programs and coaching. Century 21 Tri-Cities also lists him as a real estate agent.
Kincaid has a master’s degree and a doctorate in leadership studies, as well as a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Gonzaga University. He has had more than 20 years of experience in executive leadership, coaching and organizational development, including serving as a president and managing partner of leadership consulting firm Blue Rudder and holding faculty and leadership roles at Heritage University, Columbia Basin College and Gonzaga University.
He serves on the boards of Columbia Ability Alliance and Tri-Cities Community Health.
As Generational Care’s executive director, Kincaid will provide leadership across the nonprofit’s three programs: Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels, Home Care Services and Healthy Ages.
“The Tri-Cities has been my home for more than 30 years,” Kincaid said in a statement. “It’s where my wife and I are raising our family, and where my parents, sister, and her family also live. This community means a great deal to me. What I’m most excited about is the opportunity to be part of a terrific organization doing really impactful work in the lives of those we serve.
“I’m looking forward to working alongside the awesome Gen Care team, adding to the important work already underway, and helping carry that work forward in the years ahead,” he said in the statement.
Generational Care rebranded in 2025 from Senior Life Resources under the guidance of former executive director Brandy Hickey. Hickey also led efforts to add Kadlec’s Healthy Ages program to the nonprofit’s offerings in 2025.
She left the agency in the spring of 2026 after the board voted not to renew her three-year contract. The nonprofit was focused on maintaining the growth that had occurred under Hickey’s leadership.
Kincaid will work to advance the organization’s mission of preserving and enhancing the quality of life for every generation with dignity and care, the agency said in a news release.
“Timing has been everything,” said Wendy Krause, Generational Care’s board president, in a statement. “As Generational Care turns a page, we have been intentionally patient in identifying the right fit for our new chapter. Matt brings a thoughtful approach to leadership that aligns with the culture we want to continue building across our organization and throughout the communities we serve.”
