Winter has come for Moonshot Brewing’s Pub at the Park in Richland. 

The Kennewick-based brewery announced via social media that it would close its smaller satellite location on Lee Boulevard just outside Richland’s Howard Amon Park on Oct. 25. 

“We truly loved serving you these past three years but this past year has been difficult for most restaurants, the pub included,” according to its the social media post. “We simply can’t afford to keep it open as the winter downturn is coming.” 

The Kennewick brewery will remain open and some staff from the Richland location will move to roles there, but some staff will be let go, the brewery said. Efforts also are ongoing to find a new tenant for the pub. 

The pub opened in Richland three years ago.
