Three people are taking on top roles at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates with the recent departure of its CEO.

Shawn Conway was recently announced as the new CEO of Far Niente Wine Estates in California’s Napa Valley. The wine portfolio has six brands: Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel, Bella Union, Post & Beam, EnRoute and Dolce. The new role at the smaller operation comes only two years after Conway took the reins at Ste. Michelle.

In a statement to the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business, Ste. Michelle thanked Conway for his contributions “guiding the company through a significant transformation – refining and refocusing our acclaimed wine portfolio and strengthening Ste. Michelle’s deep roots in the Pacific Northwest.”

In his place, Ste. Michelle has appointed Anna Mosier, chief financial and supply chain officer, and David Bowman, chief commercial officer, as co-CEOs of the Washington business. Amy Prosenjak, president of the Oregon business, was promoted to CEO to run Oregon’s operations.

“This veteran wine industry leadership team will continue to drive Ste. Michelle’s transformation forward – building on its 90-year legacy and positioning the company for a strong, sustainable future as the leading Pacific Northwest wine company,” the company said.

The state’s largest wine producer closed its tasting rooms and wine clubs for two of its brands at the end of 2024. That followed the winery announcing in 2023 it would significantly cut its grape contracts through 2028.
