The Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation have launched a public education initiative designed to highlight the tribes’ enduring cultural legacy, leadership and ongoing contributions throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The “Yakama Strong” campaign features a range of multimedia resources, including a short-form documentary, videos, a dedicated website and educational displays at the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco.

Developed in collaboration with Yakama Nation leadership, elders, tribal members and staff, the campaign is intended to inform the public about the Yakamas’ history, culture and current initiatives.

The campaign draws on the Yakama Nation’s historical significance, dating back to the signing of the 1855 Treaty at Camp Stevens, and underscores the tribes’ continued leadership and strategic presence in the region.

The campaign is positioned as a platform for broader public understanding, including among policymakers, of the Yakama Nation’s role in regional development and its long-term strategic objectives.

The documentary and additional campaign materials are available at YakamaStrong.com.
