Elena Olmstead graduated from Washington State University with a degree in journalism, then spent nearly a decade working full-time as a reporter for several area newspapers, including the Daily Sun News and Tri-City Herald. She has been freelancing since 2007. When she isn’t writing for the Journal she enjoys spending time with her family on their farm in south Grandview.
