The city of Richland’s Business License Reserve Fund Grant Program is accepting applications through Nov. 14 for projects that strengthen the local economy and business environment.

The city reserves 18% of its business license revenue to reinvest through this grant program. The grants support initiatives that promote economic growth, tourism and community improvements, prevention of blight and small business development programs within Richland.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • Visit Tri-Cities
  • Richland Chamber of Commerce
  • SCORE Mid-Columbia
  • Small Business Development Center
  • Business Improvement Districts (Uptown and downtown/The Parkway)
  • Commercial Façade Improvement Program
  • Other entities as deemed eligible by the Economic Development Committee

Applications are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 14 and can be found at richlandbusiness.com/programs/business-license-reserve-fund.

The Economic Development Committee will review eligible submissions on Dec. 1 and recommendations will be presented to the city council for approval.

Funding awards will be announced by the end of January 2026 and recipients must use the funds by Dec. 31 of the award year.
