A Richland brewery earned a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival.
White Bluffs Brewing’s Biere de Garde was recognized in the European Style Amber Ale category.
The Great American Beer Festival awards bronze, silver and gold medals for beverages in 105 beer categories and five cider categories, including 131 subcategories. Gold medals are awarded to “a world-class beverage that accurately exemplifies the specified style, displaying the proper balance of taste, aroma and appearance,” according to the festival’s website.
White Bluffs Brewing is a 1500-barrel microbrewery at 2034 Logston Blvd., Richland. This year’s award is the second the brewery has won from the Great American Beer Festival. White Bluffs’ Red Alt won gold in German-Style Altbier in 2014.
