Planning on using Leslie Road tonight? Look out for closures for pavement treatment.

The city of Richland has announced Leslie Road will be closed from Columbia Park Trail to Gage Boulevard while Intermountain Slurry Seal completes microsurfacing work.

The work will begin with a required test area on Jericho Court in the late afternoon Friday, July 17. Leslie Road will then be closed from Columbia Park Trail to Timmerman Drive from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, July 17. The road will then be closed from Timmerman Drive to Gage Boulevard from 11 p.m. Friday, July 17, to 8 a.m. Saturday, July 18.

Detours will be in place, and Canyon Street will remain open for traffic crossing Leslie Road, but motorists won’t be able to turn onto Leslie Road. Reader boards will be placed in advance of the closure, and drivers should expect detours, side street closures, reduced speeds and delays.

Microsurfacing work will resume during daytime hours beginning Monday, July 20, through Wednesday, July 22.
