The city of Richland is looking for partners to help with improvements to parks, trails, open spaces and recreational facilities and there’s a pot of money to help those projects happen.

The Park Partnership Program offers up to $8,000 per project for approved applications from community organizations, nonprofits and others interested in working collaboratively with the city, according to a release. The city has up to $40,000 in grant funds available for 2027.

Applications are open until Nov. 20 and require applicants to schedule a pre-application meeting and make an oral presentation on their proposed project to the Richland Parks and Recreation Commission.

Applications must include supporting documentation, including a project work plan, matching contribution pledge and budget plan. Grants will be awarded in the spring of 2027.
