The now-closed Three Rivers Winery facility at 5641 Old Highway 12 is on the market on 16 acres north of the Whitman Mission National Historic Site.
With more than seven acres of vineyards and a facility spanning 18,000 square feet, the agency marketing the property described it as one of the premier wine and event venues in the region.
No price is listed for the property, but its appraised value is $1.7 million, according to property records.
“This estate is truly the full package – a beautifully integrated production winery, vineyard, and event venue – in one of the best locations in the Pacific Northwest,” said Jennifer McLaughlin, the agent representing the property listing, in a statement. “It’s been impeccably maintained and is fully operational for the next owner. At a fraction of replacement cost, the asking price represents a tremendous value for the right buyer.”
The building houses a wine production facility, tasting room and private event room. A wraparound deck adds another 2,500 square feet of hosting space that is open to a three-acre lawn that can host hundreds of guests.
The production facility includes a crush pad, fermentation room, two temperature-controlled barrel rooms and a bottling and staging warehouse. All tanks and equipment needed for more than 15,000 cases of annual production are included in the offering, allowing a new operator to produce immediately.
“The fully turnkey venue and winery is ready for a new owner or a new label to step in and begin operating from day one,” according to a release from Metis, a mergers and acquisitions firm that specializes in viticultural properties.
The winery was named after the three rivers in the vicinity – the Columbia, Snake and Walla Walla – and was founded by Duane & Mary Wollmuth, Bud and Paulette Stocking and Steve and Ann Ahler in 1999. Located in the Columbia Valley appellation, it produced wine from its own Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes as well as fruit from nine other vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley, Yakima Valley and Red Mountain AVAs.
Three Rivers was acquired by Foley Family Wines, a vintner founded by billionaire Bill Foley with numerous wineries across the West Coast, in 2008, with winemaker Holly Turner and her husband Andy Slusarenko staying on to operate it. Foley announced in the first half of 2025 that it had decided to close the winery and its tasting room, though its wines would still be available so long as Foley owned the winery, according the Three Rivers website. No reason was given for the closure.
“We are grateful to Holly Turner and Andy Slusarenko for their tenure, and the talent and expertise they have dedicated to the property for 25 years,” the company said in a statement on the website.
