Gesa Credit Union is kicking off its annual Holiday Gift Drive and is hoping the community will help it meet its goal of providing 500 gifts to several nonprofits.

Community members can drop off new, unused toys at any Gesa branch through Dec. 15. All donations will go to Communities in Schools of Washington, Triumph Foundation, Canopy Services and Forgotten Children’s Fund. Gesa employees also will be volunteering with the nonprofits as part of the credit union’s holiday campaign.

“What may seem like a small gesture, such as donating a toy or volunteering an afternoon, can bring joy to a child or comfort to a family during challenging times,” said Brandon Allison, vice president of community impact, in a statement. “It’s these moments of connection that remind us of the spirit of community.”

Community members can track the campaign’s progress on Gesa’s social media channels, where updates will be posted on the collection goal and stories of impact.
