Richland-based Gesa Credit Union is putting $150,000 up for grabs as it begins accepting applications for scholarships.

Four scholarships ranging from $10,000 to as much as $80,000 are available for current high school seniors, as well as those currently pursuing a degree or with active student loans.

“Every year, we hear from students who are putting in the work to reach their goals, and their stories remind us why this program is so important,” said Brandon Allison, Gesa’s vice president of community impact, in a statement. “We’re looking forward to seeing this year’s applications and continuing to ease some of the financial challenges that can come with pursuing higher education.

The four scholarship awards include:

  • $80,000 for a current high school senior participating in the credit union’s High School Credit Union program.
  • $34,000 for current high school seniors who will be enrolling in higher education for the first time.
  • $26,000 for those currently pursuing higher education.
  • $10,000 for those with active student loans.

All applicants must be Gesa members and submit their application via credit union’s online portal. Go to: gesa.com/category/scholarships.
