Hispanic chamber offers scholarship for business-minded students

Graduating seniors in Benton and Franklin counties are encouraged to apply for a new scholarship being offered by the Tri-City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for those wanting to study business during their post-secondary education.

Graduating high school seniors who want to further their business education have a new scholarship opportunity available to them. 

The Tri-City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s El Sueño Scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior in Benton and Franklin counties with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 who intends to major in accounting, administration, marketing, economics, tourism or similar business-related field. 

The chamber will award two $2,000 scholarships and two $1,000 scholarships. 

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. March 28. The application is available online.  

Applicants also must submit a personal essay of 600 words, a character reference and transcript. Proof of college registration for the fall 2025 must be provided by no later than June 13. 

Incomplete applications will not be considered.  

Applicants will be notified of their scholarship application’s status by May 5.
