A sign announcing a future home for The Wake Up Call was installed Oct. 9 in front of the bare ground at the southern terminus of Thayer Drive where it meets the off-ramp for Interstate 182 and Lawless Drive.
Of the nearly 8 acres of land at the location, most is owned by the city of Richland. Two acres are owned by the Bush family, which owns and operates a number of car wash facilities across the region.
A request for comment to The Wake Up Call from the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business was not immediately returned.
This is the second new location for The Wake Up Call announced in Richland this year. Construction is ongoing for one of the Spokane-based brand’s drive-thru coffee shops at the corner of Gage Boulevard and Leslie Road on the site of a former gas station.
