The city of West Richland is looking for applicants to fill a vacancy on its city council after voters elected one of the current council members as mayor.  

The person appointed by the council to fill Position No. 6 will serve until the candidate elected in the Nov. 2, 2027, general election takes office.   

Eligible applicants for the vacant seat must:  

• Be at least 18 years old.  
• Be a registered voter.  
• Have lived in the city of West Richland for at least one year prior to appointment.  
• Be a U.S. citizen.

City council candidate questionnaires are available at City Hall and online. 

Those interested must submit a completed application and resume by noon Feb. 13. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
